The attention of Anambra Internal Revenue Service has been drawn to the fake and misleading information circulating on social media platforms alleging that the Anambra State Government is asking people to pay taxes while the state is on lockdown.
A presenter on Onitsha based Radio Sapientia known as JJ Agada Aguzie has been identified as the main source of this malicious information.
The public is by this notice advised to disregard that story as there is no truth to it.
It is on record that AiRS was among the first organizations to comply with the \”work-from-home\” directive from the state government and had subsequently advised taxpayers to make use of our online platforms; www.airs.an.gov.ng in order to flatten the curve on COVID-19.
Any information to the contrary is therefore false, misleading and condemnable.
