COVID -19 RESPONSE: GOV OBIANO APPROVES STIMULUS PACKAGE FOR TRADERS AND BUSINESS OWNERS IN ANAMBRA STATE.
His Excellency, The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has approved a Stimulus Package for all Traders and Business Owners in Anambra.
Traders and owners of businesses in Anambra State will receive a stimulus package of 10% of what they paid as Personal Income Tax in 2019. This is in addition to other incentives including the provision of relief materials to the elderly and other vulnerable people which His Excellency has directed.
This was revealed by Dr. David Nzekwu who chairs the ANSG COVID-19 Stimulus Package Committee. In his words \”this is part of the economic stimulus package Governor Obiano promised Ndi Anambra to help cushion the economic and other effects of the coronavirus pandemic.\”
Briefing the newsmen, Dr. Nzekwu confirmed that His Excellency has directed the ANSG COVID-19 Stimulus Package Committee to work out the modalities for the immediate implementation of the stimulus package to the Traders and Businessmen in the state.
