As part of the ongoing efforts by the Anambra State government to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the state government through the Chairman Anambra Internal Revenue Service AiRS, Dr. David Nzekwu has officially approved the Suspension of \”Payment of Daily Operational Permit\” for Keke Riders, Shuttle Bus Drivers and Intra State Bus Drivers in Anambra State.
Recall that this suspension is part of the \”STIMULUS PACKAGES\” announced by His Excellency, Gov Willie Obiano to ameliorate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and cushion the effect of the new directives issued by the State Government limiting the number of passengers that can be carried in a vehicle at a time this period. Note that the duration of this suspension only from April 1st to 31st May 2020.
By this circular, all Keke Unions, Shuttle Bus Unions, and Intra State Bus Unions are expected to show understanding and comply in order to assist the government.
It is expected that this palliative will encourage the affected transporters to adhere strictly to the Governor\’s directives on the number of passengers to carry at a time.
