Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AiRS) in partnership with Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) organizes Anambra 2020 Tax Awareness Week from March 2nd to March 7th, 2020.
The theme for the Tax Week which is Voluntary Compliance to Tax Payment is geared towards sensitizing Ndi Anambra on the whole process of taxation. Activities lined up for the Week include the visit of the President of CITN, Dame Gladys O. M. Simplice who will use the opportunity to inaugurate a District Society of the Institute at Onitsha.
On Monday, March 2, 2020, there will be Statewide Road Shows, Town Hall Meetings simultaneously taking place in the 21 Local Government Areas by 11.00 from March 3 to March 6, 2020. A Breakfast Meeting strictly by invitation will be held at Bon Hotel, Awka, as well as courtesy visits to the Executive Governor of Anambra State and other stakeholders
You can tune to ABSTV for audience participatory program ‘Good morning Anambra’ by 8.00 am on Monday, March 2, 2020, Tuesday, March 3, 2020, and Friday, March 6, 2020, and on Monday, March 2, 2020, and Friday, March 6, 2020, for the radio audience participatory program, ‘Nzuko Anambra’ by 10.00 am each day. On Wednesday, March 4, 2020, you can tune to Odenigbo Radio 99.1FM between 2.00 and 3.00 pm and Radio Sapientia FM on Saturday, March 7, 2020, between 11.00 am and 12,00n noon for the audience participatory programs.
Ndi Anambra are by this announcement enjoined to utilize the opportunity of the 2020 Tax Awareness Week to get sensitized on the whole process of taxation.
