Update From The Revenue House:….

The Management of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service AiRS through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to Gov Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR on (IGR Technical) , Mrs Oyeka Amara Kate FCA FCTI on July 5,2024 held an inaugural meeting in preparation for the maiden AiRS Schools Tax Competition (ASTC).

The AiRS School Tax Competition is the brainchild of the SSA on IGR Technical, Mrs Oyeka with a view to deepening tax awareness and tax knowledge down to the Secondary Schools across the State. The idea is basically to introduce basic tax education to Schools which will be drawn from the three geo-political zones across the State. The tax competition is expected to be in three stages; first the elimination stage, qualifications stage and the grand finale.

After over three hours of serious deliberation, various sub-committee were drafted to oversee the planning and implementation of the program; Media, Logistic, Protocol and Welfare, Communication and Finance alongside Tracker/Admin Sub-Commitree respectively . Members of the planning committee present were; Mr. Francis Ezenwa (Head, Back duty/Withholding Tax AiRS), Mrs Chika Obiano (Head, PAYE Dept AiRS), Mr Onyeka Chukwudi* (Head, Non-Tax IGR AiRS), Mr Charles Udile, Mr Emeh Blaiz Pascal (TEET Dept, AiRS), Miss Charity Umeh (Head, Customer Care, AiRS), Mr Chuks Udeh (Head, ICT Dept AiRS), Mr Arinze (Head, Data Capture, AiRS) amongst others.
