ENFORCEMENT BEGINS: AIRS ADDRESSES THE PRESS

The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) today held a press conference at the Revenue House, Awka, to formally announce the commencement of enforcement actions against non-compliant taxpayers following the expiration of the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration and Tax Regularisation Scheme (VAIDS).

Addressing members of the press, the Executive Chairman, Mr Ikeazor Okonkwo, reiterated the Service’s commitment to ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and strengthening revenue administration across Anambra State.

The enforcement drive will target taxpayers with outstanding tax liabilities, unresolved Best of Judgment (BOJ) assessments, and other statutory tax obligations.
