AiRS Sensitizes The Public on AiRS Schools Tax Competition on ABS Radio.

Update From The Revenue House:…

The Senior Special Assistant to Gov Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR on (IGR Technical), Mrs Oyeka Amara Kate FCA FCTI was our studio guest on our AiRS public enlightenment program “Anambra Tax Matters” on Wednesday 31, July 2024 on ABS Radio 88.5FM Awka.

We discussed the topic; “AiRS Schools Tax Competition: Expanding The Tax Culture.” Mrs. Oyeka gave some insight concerning the upcoming event; the eligibility for participation as well as the inspiration behind organizing the competition. She also spoke about the different stages involved in the competition which starts from the elimination stage, expected to be the first stage where all the registered private schools across the three geo-political zone of the State will compete for a quiz and the winner of this stage will proceed to the second stage and then to the grand finale that will feature a debate competition where the overall winner will go home with a prize.

According to Mrs Oyeka, the overriding motive was to expand the tax culture and as such deepen the tax conversation down to the secondary schools across the State. This she believes will help in educating the leaders of tomorrow on the importance of tax compliance as a civic responsibility for any reasonable citizen.

Anambra Tax Matters is part of the AiRS public enlightenment program on Radio produced by the Taxpayer Education and Enlightenment Team (TEET) department of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service AiRS.
