AiRS Public Service Announcement On Revenue Verification and Compliance.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Anambra State Internal Revenue Service wishes to inform the general public that it will be embarking on a revenue compliance verification exercise across the state. The exercise will affect traders, businesses, households and government offices. During the process, Inspectors of Taxes will be visiting traders, businesses, offices and homes. They will demand to see evidence of compliance with payment of the following taxes and levies:

1.Personal Income Tax
2.Withholding Tax
3.Signage Fees by Businesses
4.Fire Service Fees
5.ASWAMA Levies
6. Business Premises Registration Certificate and other State approved levies.

We wish to appeal for the support of Ndi Anambra throughout this exercise.

The general public is reminded that Anambra State no longer issue manually Generated Demand Notices for levies – including Demand Notice for ASWAMA, Fire Service, Signage Fees and other levies, The general public is therefore advised not to honour any Manually Generated Demand Notice. All Demand Notices and Revenue Receipts issued in the State are digital and can be verified by scanning the QR code on them.

All payments to the State Government are to be made directly into the State Government account in any commercial bank using the taxpayers\’ ANSSID number. Where in doubt, the public is advised to reconfirm from the AiRS office nearest to them or by visiting our website: www.airs.an.gov.ng
